Week 9: E-Textiles and Wearables II

Task: Create an interactive object

I decided to create a device which will alert you if your tea or coffee is getting cold. It will be a removable strap/ band around the mug. 3 LEDs with diferent colours will alert you of the different temperatures

**Red:** Temperature over 71° C

**Green**: Temperature between 21° C and 70° C

**Blue:** Temperature under 20° C

I used Arduino to programme an Attiny microcontroller. In order to make the conductive thread traces stronger I made a sketch on Eagle which I later transferred and used for the embroidery machine.

The strap was made with felt and a large button

Once all the components were working and the Attiny was programmed I assembled everything.
