Today we did the biofabrics. Again, I worked in a group with [[http://wiki.textile-academy.org/fabricademy2017/students/ver.pia|Pia]] and [[http://wiki.textile-academy.org/fabricademy2017/students/newton.laura|Laura]]. We decided for the recipe "Gelatine / Glycerine flexible". The recipe consists of: 2g gelatine, 100 ml of 1% glycerine solution and 50 ml of water. Because we only had 80 ml of 1% glycerine solution, we decided to cut in half the amounts of the needed ingredients. Therefore, we used 1g gelatine and 50 ml of 1% glycerine solution. For no explainable reason we forgot to add the water :D Then we mixed the gelatine powder with the 1% glycerine solution and cooked it. Meanwhile, we sprayed the petridishes with a release spray. This helps to get out you bioplastics out of the petridishes. To compare the behaviour with other material of our bioplastic, we added some ingredients and labeled the petridishes matching the ingredient. Petridish 1 - Original Petridish 2 - Food colour ( 1/2 teaspoon) Petridish 3 - Natural dye ( 1/2 teaspoon) Petridish 4 - Piece of virgin wool After that, we filled our gelatine-glycerine-mixture into the petridishes and closed them. |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_11_21.jpg?nolink&290x248}} |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_20_10.jpg?nolink&290x271}} |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_22_56.jpg?nolink&100x326}} |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_23_04.jpg?nolink&100x415}} | |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_28_42.jpg?nolink&290x235}} |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_28_52.jpg?nolink&290x248}} |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_29_47.jpg?nolink&290x282}} |{{:fabricademy2017:students:thormeyer.natalia:foto_19.10.17_19_31_05.jpg?nolink&290x283}} | \\
