One of the films that shocked me a lot the first time I watched it, was The Warriors. It´s one of my favourite movies, not for the good story, the decade in wich it happens and the good dialogues, but for the concept of group, tribe or band that appears in the movie and how it is represented by an incredible aesthetic that identifies every gang in the movie. Their members are recognized by their looks, and that is a signal, a language that says to others if they are friends or not.

If we check the Maslow´s Pyramid of needs, we can see that the membership or the belonging to a group it´s one of the basic needs of a person.

What happens if we use that need and that spirit of forming a group, and we substitute the clothes or the ancient paints for something that is capable of recognize and reacts to our friends, and react to those that are not too??

The premise is easy. Our display will work always, and its something we can adjust. But all begins when we are with our “gang”, then all the devices are synchronised and they all work at the same time. When a strange appears our device reacts to him/her, blinking in a different way.

Let´s substitute the gangs for the bands of runners. Imaging the possibilities and the interactions between the members of the band and the interactions with other crews in the same city.

The real proposal of this project is the creation of a community, and the use of the clothes or devices with this technology is only the medium to create it.
