**Electrical circuit

An electric circuit is a path in which electrons from a voltage or current source flow.

The point where those electrons enter an electrical circuit is called the “source” of electrons. The point where the electrons leave an electrical circuit is called the “return” or “earth ground”. The exit point is called the “return” because electrons always end up at the source when they complete the path of an electrical circuit.(1)

I wanted to make an experiment with coin battery and LEDs. First of all, ı tested electric circuit with a blue LED which need 3V that ı used 3V power coin battery to understand that rumors are true or not. İt is working. Hell yeah!!! İt is not a magic.

Conductive Textile

A conductive textile is a fabric which can conduct electricity. Conductive textiles can be made with metal strands woven into the construction of the textile. There is also an interest in semiconducting textiles, made by impregnating normal textiles with carbon- or metal-based powders.Uses for conductive fibers and textiles may include static dissipation, EMI shielding, signal and power transfer in low resistance versions, and as a heating element in higher resistance versions. Their benefits over solid or stranded metal wires come from conductive fibers' flexibility and ability to use them in existing textile and wire machinery (weaving, knitting, braiding, etc.).(2)

I used conductive fabric, semiconductive and not conductive fabric. How to understand a conductive fabric?

Well, ı knew that this brass based powders fabric should conductive. Look at this woven how legit.

So ı create a sandiwch. Conductive, non-conductive material. When ı pushed it is light on.

Here is the video of my experiment + exclusive sneak peek the next exercise. :)

Parallel Circuit

Components of an electrical circuit or electronic circuit can be connected in many different ways. The two simplest of these are called seriesand parallel and occur frequently. Components connected in series are connected along a single path, so the same current flows through all of the components.Components connected in parallel are connected along multiple paths, so the same voltage is applied to each component.[3]

A circuit composed solely of components connected in one connected completely in parallel is known as a parallel circuit. In a parallel circuit, the voltage across each of the components is the same, and the total current is the sum of the currents through each component(3)

I decided to experiment with a parallel circuit. I used Blue LED again which is 3V and I have 3V coin battery. I wanna put into my imagination too. So ı decided to patch a scenario.

img_5367_1.jpg

So ı have the all the ingredients :

  • Conductive Threat
  • Non-conductive Threat
  • isolation tape
  • scissor
  • LEDs
  • embroidery frame
  • Normal Fabric

First of all, I stitched my positive lines. And taped by isolation tape. Not to take any risk. First taped threats are (+) non taped threats are (-). I also stitched my non-conductive fabric with the positive side and negative side stitched to the fabric in the embroidery frame.

So it is working. (Here is the video.)

When ı saw it is working ı started to do decoration part.

img_5373.jpg

So I realize with parallel circuit ı can connect a lot of LEDs at the same time. After a very long time, ı was desiring to make a laser cut DIY slipper.

Here is the idea that ı get from http://wonderfuldiy.com/wonderful-diy-simple-handmade-slippers/

I learned the size of 38 number for my foot. Which is H:24 and Weight : 10

I tracked the image with Adobe Illustrator. Cut with the laser cutter.

I also wanna try embroidery machine. I drew a Christmas tree with illustrator. First try was a bit bulky. I try again.

img_5437.jpg4.jpg

So technically outside line is (+) and inside line is (-)

img_5441.jpg

But ı broke the embroidery machine needle twice because ı had to use two textile, first is my slipper fabric second fabric is to hold to embroidery machine hooks to hold from two side. I couldn't finish with my own fabric but ı successfully stitched with cotton fabric twice.

For working with ATtiny first I used this tutorial to try my first ATtiny experience.

But the link in the tutorial is wrong!!!
